FAQ
DOES MY STHENOS POLE REQUIRE DRILLING TO MOUNT ?
The Sthenos Pole requires no drilling and can be mounted between any floor(cement/tile/wooden/vinyl etc) and a permanent ceiling (for false ceiling ,a hole will have to be cut to mount it on the concrete ceiling above).
The pole top plate does however come with drill holes to offer the user the option to mount the plate permanently.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE VARIANTS?
The Sthenos Pole is available in 3 variants based on the finish
Silicone coated: This variant is beginner friendly and offers better grip for practitioners starting their pole journey. This pole does not require direct skin contact for increased grip
Chrome Plated: This Variant is for more advanced pole practitioners and is useful for various tricks. This pole will require direct skin contact for increased grip
Powder coated: This variant is for more advanced pole practitioners and is available in various colour options. This pole will require direct skin contact for increased grip
DOES THE POLE SPIN?/CAN I STOP THE POLE FROM SPINNING?
Yes the pole spins on a quadruple bearing system inbuilt in the product. There is an option to lock the spin mechanism and make the pole static by using the hex key provided to turn the lock.(Click here for the video.)
CAN I ASSEMBLE AND DISASSEMBLE THE POLE MYSELF ?
Yes you can. The pole is extremely easy to assemble and disassemble by a single person. A comprehensive installation guide video is available to guide you through the process. When not in use the pole can be disassembled and put away .(Click here for the instruction video.)
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT MY POLE CAN WITHSTAND ?
It is impossible to estimate or suggest a dancer's maximal weight while they are performing on the pole. It's critical to realise that the dancer's lateral force is the real restriction. For instance, a thin and light dancer may spin quickly and produce a sizable amount of centrifugal force, which may be comparable to or larger than the force produced by a heavier dancer who moves slowly and fluidly. The varied heights of the bar positioned between different floor coverings and different ceilings could possibly be the cause of the lateral force produced.
The product is designed by qualified mechanical engineers to bear the weight of an average human being and does not have any history of breaking. The risk of the pole slipping after being mounted can be reduced by drilling the top plate into the ceiling.
